The Hairy Lemon is the unsung hero of Sotogrande. I've had tapas several times and their quail scotch eggs are brilliant but we ate from the full menu for the first time and it was just perfect - delicious pancetta-wrapped roast chicken with polenta mash and gorgeous sausages with red onion confit. Nothing too fancy but just really well cooked. Highly recommended

Am sorry to say, but is very stark in its appearance. No atmosphere and bad live music experience with a couple of midland so called musicians. Good cider and friendly staff. I did hear good food reviews, but that was expected from a chef with a following.

Great to have a new venue in Puerto Sotogrande and maybe the Hairy Lemon is the place to knock Ke of it's perch. Early days, but great food at good prices. I am normally a G&T person in the evenings but the Stowford Press cider has corrected me of that habit! Good team running the place and now the sun has finally arrived in southern Spain, some great terraces to enjoy sol and sombre!

The Gastro pub is a great addition to Sotogrande port. It certainly is a welcome to have somewhere to go where the food is consistent, great value, and the chef has such a great reputation behind him. It is well managed with attentive service and a good atmosphere. The inside has a welcoming atmosphere - and joy oh joy - the test of all restaurants, the bathrooms are clean and nicely finished.
The menu choice means you struggle to decide what to chose and the menu length means you know everything is prepared fresh, that day, using the best ingredients available. Sotogrande port certainly has a destination lunch time place now.

Apart from the name, please change it, a great experience. It was one of the best roast dinners I have had in a long time. They can be a disappointment in other places but this one certainly wasn't - People think it’s easy but its not. So well done. Great beer, lovely service - very attentive - A very relaxing Sunday lunch experience

Nice to have a new bar in town, although this one feels like it could be a dangerous place. You know, pop in for one drink, and fall out hours later. Haven't eaten there yet, but everyone who has says it is really good, with a nice variety and well priced. My only gripe is that it feels a bit too like an english wine bar. But I'm sure after the third drink I'll get over that!

The Hairy Lemon is much bigger than it looks from the outside, cosy but enough space between tables and a choice of 2 terraces’s to soak up that sun! They make families welcome, with highchairs and buggy space. They also show sporting events like...so I’ve been informed the Moto Gp this weekend!
For weekday lunches, there are hot dishes from Ricotta and pine nut stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon with mushroom risotto (10.50euros) to Crab and lemongrass soup with crème fraîche (6.50 euros) The salads sound especially tempting (all about 7.50euros), like chicken Caesar or Baby spinach, goat’s cheese and walnut salad with bacon and honey mustard dressing. All I can say is YUM YUM YUM!
The Service and atmosphere is.....Informal, relaxed and buzzing with very friendly staff but best of all well-priced, well-cooked, fresh food, you won’t be disappointed."
They offer a great selection of local wines, beers and ciders
and even ALE....And don’t worry theirs also free parking facilities only 2 mins walk away! More money to spend on beer or wine in my case!
ENJOY.
